O que Idaho exige

Idaho law (Idaho Code § 39-1109) and the daycare licensing rules (IDAPA 16.06) administered by the Department of Health and Welfare require at least one adult employee on the premises to hold current pediatric CPR and first aid certification whenever children are present, and all providers must be certified. The statute calls for certification from a certified instructor; it speaks to the certifier rather than the delivery method, so a blended course whose in-person skills check is signed off by a certified instructor should satisfy it — while a fully online course with no instructor-led skills check would likely be rejected.

Idaho's daycare rules require parental or caretaker authorization before any medication is given and that all medications be kept in a locked box or otherwise inaccessible to children; the rules do not address epinephrine or anaphylaxis specifically. Because the code is silent, best practice fills the gap: a child with a known severe allergy should have an epinephrine auto-injector on site, kept ready rather than only locked away, and a written care plan every caregiver has reviewed.
